Assembly elections

Finally the DD day has arrived and the results are out. Jayalalitha has triumphed in Tamil Nadu.  There were expectations that she would win.  But the margin of victory was immense.  The people of Tamil nadu have shown the door for the people who have practised the politics of nepotism, corruption, misgovernance.  The people of Tamil Nadu have dispelled the perception of the rulers that money could buy votes. It was neck and neck in Kerala between UDF and LDF.  In Pondicherry N Rangaswamy who started his party just two months before the elections have won handsomely. In Assam the incumbent Chief Minister Tarun Gogai has scored a hattrick.  In West Bengal Mamta Banerjee has scored a thumping victory on the expected lines putting an end to the Left rule of 34 years.
For the UPA Govt. it is 50-50. Win in Three states and loss in two states. Let us see how the politics in Delhi is afftected by the results.
